The Royals

Began today with a coffee and pastry at a great bakery not far from our hotel.

We called in at the beautiful Frederik V Marble Church on our way to Amalienborg Palace, which consists of four separate buildings around a square. Three are occupied by members of the Royal Family. Princess Mary lives in one of them with her family.
Changing of the guard at 12.00  was simple in comparison with Sweden, but they are fairly relaxed here.

From there we walked past the local Anglican church (and called in to a very genuine welcome) to the famous statue of The Little Mermaid. Small but appreciated.

A Long walk to Rosenborg Castle through the town to the King's Garden resulted in a very pleasant surprise. This castle held so many beautiful items in original and unique rooms, that we were amazed. The Crown Jewels are also kept here and they're quite happy for you to take photos.
Finally dinner at Nyhavn again. So handy plus lots of choice.
