Arrived at our inner suburban apartments mid afternoon, so used the local supemarket for dinner of meats, cheeses, salad which saved us going out.
Yesterday we travelled to Vigeland Park by metro. It is a beautiful 80 acre space with lovely trees, paths and flowers and strange statues. However, it was the life's work of the sculptor and is a wonderful asset to the city.
From there we took the ferry to Bygdoy, where there are a number of museums plus the King's Farm, which you can visit, and, I think, also the royal residence. Upon arrival, we had to walk up a long, steep hill, past beautiful white timber homes with black roofs - announcing wealthy.
Our first stop was the Viking Museum, which holds Viking ships and artefacts from the ninth century. There is a completely intact ship plus sleds, beautiful bridles, household implements and even a horse cart. No jewellery, because it was apparently stolen from the graves centuries ago.
