Farewell Copenhagen

We really enjoyed Copenhagen. Plenty to see and lots within walking distance from our hotel. They have good public transport and people are always ready to assist. The locals have been enjoying the Indian summer, although it is cooling down.

Today we visited Christiansborg Palace, no longed lived in, but used by, the Queen and it also houses the Danish Parliament and the Supreme Court. The 300 year old stables house the Royal horses and carriages. It's a beautiful Slot, as they call them here, with a delightful walled garden, hidden away between buildings.

Went for a canal tour - ok, but not absolutely necessary. However, it gave us a chance to look at places while we were sitting down.

This evening we treated ourselves to dinner at a Michelin Restaurant a few doors from our hotel. It was clearly the place where the in crowd go. We only got a table because we were so early. Great experience and delicious meal, even though it was hamburgers.
